Your registration fee includes:
   Attendance at all symposium sessions
   Welcome reception

   A satchel containing the symposium handbook and materials

   Symposium dinner at Seaworld Marine Park

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations for registration and accommodation will only be accepted in writing. Cancellations made prior to 24 October 2002 will be refunded less 25% to cover administration costs. No registration refunds will be made after 24 October 2002. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without penalty.

Payment
All prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10% GST. Cheques or drafts must be made in Australian currency and drawn on an Australian bank. Alternatively, payment by credit card is acceptable. Registration forms may be sent by facsimile only if payment is by credit card.

Optional Tours
Please note that with the exception of the Welcome Reception, Symposium Dinner, and Student Reception all social activities are at an additional cost. These costs are based on minimum numbers. If these numbers are not reached, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the activity. All monies will be refunded if the activity is cancelled.

Symposium Office
Upon arrival, please check-in at the Symposium registration desk located in the foyer of the conference centre at the Gold Coast International Hotel. Registration will open Sunday 24 November at 4.30pm.

Messages
A message board will be located in the conference registration area. Please advise potential callers to telephone the Gold Coast International Hotel on +61 (0) 7 5584-1200 and ask for the 5th Symposium on Diseases in Asian Aquaculture registration desk.

Personal Mail and Deliveries
Personal deliveries should be sent to your accommodation address.

Dress and Climate
Dress for all Symposium sessions and social events is smart casual. Smart casual means open neck shirt and trousers/shorts for gentlemen. In November, the temperature ranges from 18 to 27°C.

Personal Requirements
If you have any special dietary requirements such as Vegan or Kosher, and did not indicate this on your registration form, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements. Special meal time arrangements can be made for delegates involved in Ramadan.

If you have any medical, wheel chair access, or other special requirements, please let us know so we can assist you.


Tickets
Tickets will be required for entry into the social functions. Delegates who have paid for additional reception, lunch and dinner tickets will also be given the appropriate ticket(s). All tickets will be inside the delegate's registration envelope.

Ticket Refunds
Ticket refunds for social functions will be available if participation is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the event.

Baby Sitting
Please contact your accommodation venue for local baby sitting services.

Airport Transfers
The distance from the Coolangatta Airport to Surfers Paradise is approximately 30kms. International flights arrive in Brisbane at the International Terminal which is approximately 80kms from the Gold Coast.

Upon arrival at Coolangatta Airport, please make your way to the "Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle" desks in the airport foyers. Airport transfers are $14.00 (adult) one way and $24.00 return. Airport transfers are approximately $35-40 by taxi.


Parking
Parking is complimentary at the Gold Coast International Hotel.

Insurance
The Symposium organisers strongly recommend all delegates purchase travel insurance including cover for non-refundable fees.
