The World Aquaculture Society (WAS) is an international non-profit
society with over 4,000 members in 94 countries. The primary focus
of WAS is to improve communication and information exchange within
the global aquaculture community. |

chapters in the Asian Pacific region, Latin America, the US and
Japan, as well as formal associations with the Asian Fisheries
Society and many other aquaculture organizations around the world.
Membership of the Asian Pacific Chapter is open to
anyone with an interest in Asian aquaculture. The goal of the
Chapter is to help sustainable aquaculture development through the
